ADAM EZRA GROUP

Description

DOORS: 6:00PM        SHOW: 7:30        AGES: 13+

The Adam Ezra Group (AEG) is constantly proving that they are more than just a band, musically, personally, and socially. Ezra has spent time farming in Canada, volunteering for the relief effort in Kosovo, and practicing environmental geography in South Africa...and he crams it all into the music. Ezra always challenges our perspective, often teetering between sensitive poet and ballsy rocker, as anyone seen AEG can tell you can tell you- they witnessed Adam and his smokin' band raise the roof!

AEG currently dedicates around 25% of their touring to benefit events in communities across the country, and almost all of their tour dates incorporate some form of "giving back." Ezra has created his own non-profit organization called RallySound, which officially received 501c3 status in the fall of 2011. It's mission: to help create socially conscious, live music events that inspire communities, grassroots activism, and civic engagement.

Having toured with Rusted Root, The Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, The Goo Goo Dolls, Blues Traveler, Los Lobos, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Dwight Yoakam, and many more, the Adam Ezra Group has graduated from the local Boston scene to the national stage with a momentum that is catapulting them towards being one of the country's most talked about bands

"They are one of the few bands out right now whose music is deep and real. It was an honor to tour with them."  - Michael Glabicki, Rusted Root

ANTJE DUVEKOT
Antje Duvekot has solidified her reputation as one of Boston's top singer songwriters since "Big Dream Boulevard" her debut studio release, which was voted "#1 Folk Release of 2006" by the Boston Globe and was named to the "Top10 Releases of the Year" by National Public Radio's, Folk Alley. In December of 2007, The Bank of America featured Antje's song "Merry Go Round" in a national TV advertising campaign seen by millions, including a Super Bowl audience. Antje's fast growing fan base, the viral spreading of her music and a track record of sold-out shows are a testament to her growing popularity.

Former Rolling Stone music editor Dave Marsh says: "This is a brilliant, brilliant album. I have had this reaction once in the last 10 years and that was the first time I heard Patty Griffin.
