Brioche French Toast

A diner classic! Soft, thick-cut brioche dipped on our signature batter then griddled to golden deliciousness.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup half and half
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 2 tbsp Triple Sec
  • ½ tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 slices Brioche bread, thick sliced
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • butter, for griddle and for serving

Instructions
 

  • Whisk the first seven ingredients together in a shallow bowl or baking dish.
  • Mix the cinnamon and granulated sugar together in a separate small dish.
  • Heat a griddle or cast iron pan over medium heat. Add a small pat of butter. When sizzling you are ready to add the french toast.
  • In batches, dip the brioche slices in the batter and coat fully. Allow excess to drip off, then transfer to the hot griddle. Sear on both sides until golden brown.
  • Serve dusted with powdered sugar, sprinkled with cinnamon-sugar mixture, and topped with softened or whipped butter.
